  1. Reflect
This is a great time to step back and reflect on the year that has been. The successes and the things that didn’t go as planned. It’s an opportunity to identify what things could’ve been done better, and how you can improve on it in the future.
  2. Get creative – after a holiday break before your mind is crowded with all the other commitments sit down for and set some time aside to think of some creative ways you can reach your customers. Get your favourite music on, grab a coffee and look at your marketing goals. Facebook live, videos, they are many exciting new avenues to reach your customers now more than ever. Grab your employees and Mind Map some promotions that you would like to run over the year.
  3. This leads quite nicely to the next point – “Google Yourself”. Why? People are more mobile than ever. If they are having a business meeting with you or buying flowers from a florist, I guarantee you that most people will google to find out more about the business or person. Before they visit a shop they will google it, to find out the location, browse through the reviews and seeing what kind of products they sell. Have a look at your business.. is your address right? What kind of review are people leaving behind. What images are showing up? Does that match your business brand.
  4. Business Cards – make those connections. Now is a great time to go through all those business cards you left floating around at the bottom of your draw or your bag. Catch up with people you have been meaning to for a while. Grab a beer with them in the summer sun you never know where it could lead you too.
  5. Take a break – this is a great time to enjoy the warmer weather. Explore nature in the summer sun, read a book whatever you find relaxing. Spend some time with family and friends  – this is a great time to reflect, rest and refuel.
  6. Now is  a great time to learn: You are never to old to stop learning. Is there an E book that you have been meaning to read or a talk that has been recommended to you.
  7. Chase up those old invoices – Cash Flow can get pretty tight in January and February. Take time to gently remind those whom your provided services for.
  8. Clean – if you didn’t have time before Christmas. Go through your desk, the draws the cupboards. Get rid of all the paper that is building up. It’s such a satisfying feeling when it’s all done.
